Has Fathers Day snuck up on you this year? Did you remind yourself a dozen times to get onto the gift hunt early but life just got in the way again and you find yourself scrambling to find that perfect last minute gift idea? (I Put my head down in shame)

For most of my readers, Fathers Day would have come and gone back in June but for those of us in the sunny land of Aus, Father’s day is just 3 days away. Thank God for the digital age and internet shopping because now you can get Dad (or your partner) that last minute “thoughtful” gift and send it to him almost instantly, no matter where in the world he lives.

Send him the gift of a good book. If he doesn’t have a kindle, it’s no problem. He can download a free kindle app from any app store to play on his smartphone, tablet, ipad or computer. All kindle books can be gifted or forwarded after purchase so why not choose a great read from Amazon’s huge range of books like their No 1. Bestseller ‘The barefoot investor” by Scott Pape. See their range of kindle books here or go to their Fathers day suggestions here.

This may seem like an odd one, but if your Dad or partner loves to write or has been talking about starting a blog or website, then a wordpress subscription could make his day, or year as the subscription goes.

Give him the gift that keeps on giving. A year of site hosting to write his memoirs, or blog about that passion he loves to talk your ear off about. Writing can be very therapeutic and if he’s getting it all out there on the page, he might stop talking about it 24/7. You can only dream!

So there you have it! 5 awesome, thoughtful ideas for that last minute gift to Dad and he’ll never even realise it was last minute, so you save face and he feels the love!! Feel free to drop your awesome last minute gift suggestions in the comments box at the bottom of the page.
